![]() ![]() However the DM wants to describe it, the point is you are still capable of leaving at will.ģ) Creatures you would think are "made of stone" aren't actually made of stone. So you'd basically swim back to the surface, or maybe you'd just raise out of it like a stone elevator. So you'd take 6d6 and fall prone outside.Ģ) The spell says you use your movement to leave, it doesn't necessarily say you must "walk" out of the stone. So yes, you would get expelled just as if the rock were damaged to the point it could no longer contain you (since it can't anymore b/c the spell wore off). Meld Into Stone is such an interesting spell, and I want to see more spells like this, like maybe a Meld Into Lava.ġ) Pretty much every spell that involves going inside an occupied square, has the effect of expelling you into the nearest unoccupied square when the effect ends. If they can, that's either because the spell does some crazy stuff to get them out of the stone, or they have no bones.ģ: Can you hitch a ride in creatures made of stone? Like an earth elemental or stone golem, could you do that because they are technically a stone surface, if so, how would it work?Ĥ: Can two people Meld into the same stone? If so, what if there's only enough space to accommodate one of them? Does only one person meld into the stone? If they meld into each other, what happens when one steps out?ĥ: Can somebody meld into a petrified creature? If so, what happens? Do they get sucked into the floor? If so, how do they get out of the stone? Because I don't think they can make a step to somewhere above their head. But I have some questionsġ: The biggest one, what happens if the caster is still in the stone when the duration ends? Do they get thrust out as if the stone was partially or completely destroyed? Or do they remain stuck in there until the rock does break? As the spell requires a somatic requirement, which players inside the stone cannot do.Ģ: What happens if the caster casts the spell while standing on a stone floor that can accomodate their size? Like a cave floor. I see this makes for easy short and/or long rests.
